MARY MURPHY

Mary Murphy is currently a Junior at EGHS and co-editor of the Spectrum Newspaper. Mary has a passion for English and Science and hopes to pursue a career in medicine, specifically in pediatrics or women’s health. Her favorite things include Fall, “The Notebook,” long beach days, summertime on Nantucket, gardening, winter walks, the color green, Billy Joel concerts, going to bed early, ginger green tea and watching the sunsets. Mary loves school and learning new things, except when she hears the words “Spanish oral exam” or “on-demand DBQ.” She prefers vegetables over fruit, tea over coffee, cheese over pepperoni, dogs over cats and Nantucket over any other place on Earth. Mary’s biggest dream is to help people and make an impact in the world by becoming a pediatric surgeon, pediatrician or an OBGYN.
