Emily Clarke is currently a senior at EGHS and co-editor of the Spectrum Newspaper. She is a year round runner, amateur baker, and Jack Johnson enthusiast with an irrational fear of AP Lang tests. Growing up being an avid kayaker and spending her summers at West Hill Lake in Connecticut, Emily assumes that if she was an animal she would be a snapping turtle. Her biggest dream is to see the northern lights in Alaska, but the dream she’s currently chasing is to go to Boston University to pursue journalism. Her favorite book is Hank Green’s An Absolutely Remarkable Thing (though we all know it’s Catcher in the Rye as much as she hates to admit it). Her current obsession is taking pictures of seasonal foliage using her film camera and blasting folklore in her bedroom. On Saturday’s you’ll find her at Cross Country or Track meets and on Sundays you’ll find her stressing over the work she procrastinated finishing.
